Big Bang Integrated King Gold Rainbow

Even if there were any regulations, Hublot might not adhere to the guidelines for launching new watches during LVMH Watch Week, as the brand is known for its unconventional approach! For its first watchmaking event in 2023, the Manufacture has taken inspiration from 2022’s best-sellers and added a touch of high-jewellery luxury to create a pair of unique yet closely related watches that encourage us to dive into the case Decorative Arts and Gems. While there are two new Big Bang models, finding the seven differences between them is an enjoyable challenge. Both models are also sought after by many watches replica manufacturers such as VS Factory.

Now, let’s focus on what these timepieces have in common. The first common feature is visual enjoyment. You don’t have to be a gemstone expert to appreciate this: Both watches are Rainbow models, featuring a continuous line of translucent gemstones arranged in a perfect color spectrum that seamlessly covers all the shades of the rainbow.

These two timepieces are not merely embellished with gemstones; they are entirely covered with precious stones, from the case to the bezel to the bracelet. Alongside these exquisite gems, you’ll find a remarkable array of minerals, including ruby, amethyst, blue topaz, tsavorite, and a wide spectrum of sapphires in shades of pink, orange, blue, and yellow. Each radiant gemstone possesses a distinct and unique hue, and the meticulous selection and pairing of these stones were done with the expertise of a master stone-setter. In total, the Big Bang Integrated features 174 gemstones, while the Time Only boasts 176, and the bracelets for each piece are adorned with 768 and 748 set gemstones, respectively.

Furthermore, both watches are crafted from the same metal or alloy, known as King Gold, which holds a special place in Hublot’s heart and is exclusively mastered by its own Manufacture. This alloy exhibits a warmer gold color compared to traditional 18K 5N gold, thanks to the inclusion of platinum. It perfectly lends itself to the intricate polishing and satin-finishing techniques used on these two variations, alternating between flat satin-finished surfaces and polished chamfers that brilliantly complement the gemstones set on the timepieces.

Additionally, these two watches share an entirely black dial, encompassing the main plate, flange, and date window. This deep black backdrop provides the perfect monochromatic canvas to showcase the full radiance of the rainbow gem setting.

Two prominent skeleton hands and a gold crown, over-molded with black rubber, are positioned like “ears” at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock. The case and bracelet seamlessly merge in terms of style, material, and color, while also ensuring utmost comfort for the wearer.

Each timepiece is driven by its own distinct movement. The first watch is equipped with a chronograph function, featuring the Unico Manufacture self-winding movement, which is the original movement developed by Hublot Manufacture. This skeleton calibre offers a substantial power reserve of three full days and resides within a spacious 42-mm diameter case.

The second watch is housed in a 40-mm diameter case, a first for the Big Bang since its 2022 debut, which gives it a more compact and edgy character. The movement, three hands, and date function in the “Time Only” model perfectly complement the case, creating a harmonious synergy. The Big Bang Integrated Time Only King Gold Rainbow measures a mere 9.25 mm in thickness, just below the 10 mm mark, and beautifully combines the precision of Haute Horlogerie with the lightheartedness of Haute Joaillerie.
